ACL is announcing a $50 million funding opportunity to support efforts by Aging and Disability Resource Centers (ADRCs) to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the COVID-19 emergency.
The novel coronavirus has disproportionately affected older adults and people with disabilities. This funding will support ADRCs in their work connecting these populations to community resources, ensuring coordination across state and local agencies, and addressing pressing needs resulting from the pandemic including social isolation, food insecurity, and access to personal care services.
The funding is the result of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act signed into law last month. All states and territories are eligible for funding and encouraged to apply. Funding will be distributed based on population estimates of individuals who are age 60 and older and individuals of all ages who have disabilities.

I was married 38 years to an abusive spouse he beat me and hit me in the head so many times and I am now permanently disabled traumatic brain injury he is a narcissist a supreme narcissist that will never ever stop torturing me as long as I’m alive. Finally after years I decided to divorce he destroyed me in the process. He had our duplex that was paid for Condemned after shutting off all the utilities and water. I waited 2 years for final divorce decree it was in general homelessness during this time because I could not enter the property that I own and had lived in for many years and was awarded to me in the divorce after the divorce it burned uninsured arson. He had a business loan that I did not know about using the property as collateral and it was in default it was not disclosed in the divorce. Commerce Bank had an interest in the lien and made a claim using their insurance for the damages. Since the property was still in my ex-husbands name because of the lien they awarded him the remainder of the proceeds of the damage claim on my duplex he in turn built himself a new home leaving my duplex burned and unlivable. After paying taxes and penalties that were assessed during this divorce I was forced to sell the property for practically nothing and to this day after 3 years I am still homeless and I find it very difficult 2 get a place to live because I have no credit history I was married for 38 years I am disabled I am traumatized and I find it very hard to accomplish even the simplest tasks simplest things if I speak to my husband he calls the police on me he has stolen everything it was awarded to me at gunpoint or by force I press charges on him and they gave him diversion and three years probation and a restraining order against me and I cannot get him to honor any part of the divorce judgement I cannot survive like this much longer I am 58 years old my ex-husband that I have known my entire life just like care how cold it is out here or how hungry I am I miss my family that he is completely alienated me from. Try to deal with things legally but the courts I’m not responding to anything because of covid I have no money I have no life I have no home I wish it was somebody that could help me get a place to live my ex-husband says I’m a loser I need to die or she tells me to get a job that there’s nothing wrong with me and that I’m a loser!
