All organizations experience conflict. Conflict and difficult conversations are unavoidable in our lives. Our challenge is not in avoiding them but in using them to build deeper and more enriching relationships. Kim Steinberg is offering her services at no cost to CILs and SILCs (other than travel expenses, if needed). She works to strengthen CILs and SILCs by:

  • Building understanding and fostering cooperation through effective communication
  • Helping to form transition plans during times of leadership change
  • Mediating resolution of conflicts among individuals and organizations
  • Assisting organizations in building lasting collaborative relationships, internally and externally
  • Providing training on having successful difficult conversations
  • Assisting executive staff, board or council in self-management during high organizational stress

Kim has worked in the independent living field for twenty years, eight as a CIL Executive Director at LINC in Boise, Idaho. She also served on the SILC for six years and was the Chair for two of those years. She is an Idaho Certified Professional Mediator and holds a Masters Degree in Organizational Management and Development. She can be reached at 208-841-3020 or [email protected].
